Program Description:
Summer in Milan, Italy
Program Overview

The University of Nebraska-Kearney has partnered with the International University of Languages and Media (IULM) in Milan, Italy and will be offering the possibility for UNK students to spend four weeks studying and experiencing Italy in June. 
Courses 

Students will earn 2 elective credit hours and INTS 480 (1 credit)while in Italy. 

    Italian Culture/Cultural Heritage (2 IULM transfer credit hours)
    Wine and Cheese (2 IULM transfer credit hours)
    International Studies- Special Topics module- INTS 480 (1 UNK credit hour)

Housing

Students will be housed at Residence Zumbini, which is within walking distance to the university. 

Duration

This is a four week program between May 27-June 23, 2018.


$3,800 - This cost includes 4 IULM transfer credits & 1 credit UNK Tuition (INTS 480), Day-trip Tickets and Transportation, Accommodation, 2-night Excursion, Breakfast Vouchers, Milan Metro Pass, IULM Tutor, and international health insurance.


Financial Aid

Most scholarships and grants can be applied to 1 credit hour of UNK tuition.  Some funding can also be used to fund this venture and financial assistance in the form of student loans are available.  NU/UNK Study Abroad Scholarships are also available.
 

Prerequisites

All applicants should have at least a 2.5 GPA and one semester of college experience. Program will be conducted in English; therefore, all applicants whose native language is not English, must carry a TOEFL score of at least 500.

Credit Transfer

All students will register through the University of Nebraska-Kearney for a minimum of one credit hour (INTS 480) using MyBLUE.  Coursework will make full use of location and surroundings.
