Program Description:
Summer in Milan, Italy
Program Overview

The University of Nebraska-Kearney has partnered with the International University of Languages and Media (IULM) in Milan, Italy and will be offering the possibility for UNK students to spend three-four weeks studying and experiencing Italy in June. 

Students will earn 7 elective credit hours of study while in Italy. 

    Italian Language  (2 credit hours)
    Milan Fashion and Design (2 credit hours)
    Wine and Cheese (2 credit hours)
    International Studies- Special Topics module- INTS 480 (1 credit hour)


Students will be housed at Residence Zumbini, which is within walking distance to the university. 


This is a three-four week program between June 2-30, 2018 (TBD).

$3,200* - This cost includes Milan sightseeing, accompanied field trips to exhibition centers/museum and ticket entrances, Milan travel card, teaching materials, accommodations and health insurance.

Financial Aid

Most scholarships and grants can be used to fund this venture and financial assistance in the form of student loans are available.

The program is open to all UNK and selected Community College students. All applicants should have at least a 2.5 GPA and one semester of college experience. Program will be conducted in English; therefore, all applicants whose native language is not English, must carry a TOEFL score of at least 500.

Credit Transfer

All students will register through the University of Nebraska-Kearney for a minimum of one credit hour (INTS 480) using MyBLUE.  Students without an NUID, must first apply to UNK as a non-degree seeking student ($45) through the Office of Admissions (308.865.8702). Credits will be transferred (upon request) to the home institution through the transfer process.  Coursework will make full use of location and surroundings.
